The event "Digital Transition and Cultural Heritage Management - Practical applications, tools and opportunities", organized by the Lucanian Aerospace Cluster, took place at the Sparkme Space Academy, the beating heart of the scientific and training activities promoted by Openet Technologies in Matera.
The meeting represented a strategic opportunity to highlight the project "Heritage Smart Lab - European Digital Innovation Hub”, innovation accelerator aimed at startups, businesses and public administrations in Southern Italy, co-financed by the European Commission and the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy. At the center of the debate: the concrete impact of digital technologies in the cultural and creative sector.
Openet Technologies, partner of the Cluster and active protagonist in the project, contributed significantly by bringing its vision and know-how gained in the space sector. The company has in fact shown how satellite, geospatial technologies and artificial intelligence, already successfully applied in scientific and environmental contexts, can today also profoundly transform the management, protection and enhancement of cultural heritage.
Through SPARKme, Openet offered not only the physical space for the event, but also an ecosystem of skills, infrastructures and advanced digital tools - including simulation systems, data analysis and immersive visualization - which represent the basis for new applications serving the territory.
Openet's commitment in this area fits perfectly into its corporate mission: to transfer highly innovative technologies to key sectors of society, creating bridges between culture, science and business. As an active partner also in the nascent Heritage Smart Lab, Openet confirms its role as facilitator of digital transformation for cultural heritage and creative industries, helping to build a future in which innovation and cultural identity grow together.
