ALADIN

The project is ALADIN (Advanced Lidar Applications for Distance and Navigation) is configured as a technological initiative of leading one in the field of advanced systems for the detection and autonomous navigation, with applications in the fields the aerospace, automotive, and robotic. The goal of the project was the development of solutions based on technology that LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) to improve 3D mapping of the environment, recognition of obstacles and safe browsing in weather conditions or visibility complex.

Openet Technologies has had a strategic role within the project, putting in the field of advanced skills in the software engineering, embedded systems and data processing in real-time.

In particular, Openet has designed and developed a software modules for the acquisition and processing of LIDAR data, integrating algorithms artificial intelligence for the pattern recognition, the the automatic classification of the detected objects and the decision support systems of autonomous guide.

The company has also contributed to realization of the communication interfaces between the sensors, LIDAR, and on-board systems, ensuring interoperability with existing infrastructure and the full integration with other subsystems technology.

The contribution of Openet has been essential to ensure the reliability, accuracy and scalability of the developed solution, accelerating the transfer of technology towards real-world applications in the field of industrial and civil.

Thanks to the project, ALADIN, Openet Technologies has strengthened its position in the field of intelligent systems for mobility and advanced sensors, contributing to the evolution of key technologies for the future of autonomous navigation and perception of the environment.
