SWAY4Edu – Satellite Way for Education
The project, co-financed by the European Space Agency under the ARTES 3-4 (Satcom Applications) programme and proposed by Openet (Prime) in partnership with SES, aims to create an ICT (Information Communication Technology) satellite network to support three activities:

• Rural Radios: radio services to support radio stations in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the process of developing rural communities on the issues of sustainable agricultural development. The service is implemented in collaboration with the Office of Knowledge Exchange, research and Extension Branch of the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization).
• Electoral eTraining: distance learning services for the Electoral Management Bodies (EMB) of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS). The service is implemented in collaboration with ECES (www.eces.eu), the European Centre for Electoral Support based in Brussels and with EFEAC, Ecole de Formation Electoral en Afrique Centrale based in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo)
• Space4Edu: eLearning service to support and improve educational processes in schools in rural areas of South Africa. The service is developed in collaboration with Really to Read/ READ Educational trust (SA).
