The winner of the Comics Section of the “Coop for Words 2013” award, Emmanuel Racca, was awarded by Openet with a work grant for a period of one year.
For the CEO of Openet, Vito Gaudiano, the cooperation started with the winner of the prize represents a clear will to invest in the comics sector, as an effective, rapid and direct means of communication, which has to be to experimented and adopted in areas in which today is still poorly being used.
The technique of “storytelling” ( the story through comics ) plays a strategic role in the training activities developed through the use edutainment instruments; in particular, as a first step of a wider collaboration, Openet and the winner are already working to implement the project Sway4Edu, which involves the construction of a distance learning activities in some countries in sub- Saharan Africa, in order to enrich the quality of content production.
Furthermore, the collaboration between the artist from Bologna and the society from Matera consolidates and strengthens also the strong relations between Openet and COOP, already partners in a number of initiatives, including a historical and consolidated experience for the RadioStore service, which Openet has been guaranteeing for many years to the various companies of the large cooperative distribution circuit.
