Openet is one of the Italian companies participating to the YEP Programme (Youth Entrepreneurship Program) for the promotion of youth entrepreneurship in South Africa, sponsored by governmental agencies and bodies responsible for promoting South Africa, such as IBA Global (Pty) Amaanah Businesss Consulting and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA).
The program, which involved several European areas, has also involved other companies in the Basilicata Region, thanks to a partnership put in place by Sviluppo Basilicata SpA, the company that supports the regional development, the research and the competitiveness of all Basilicata’s companies.
Openet is among the top five companies selected by Sviluppo Basilicata Basilicata, for its specific skills related to the areas consistent with those of the South African businessmen, and namely ITC, MKTG and Communication, Cultural tourism, automation systems and control.
Two are the South African entrepreneurs hosted in thesociety: Thabo Nakedi, director of the Mahdi Business Forum and Ontireste Mosiane.
If through this program the South African businessmen gained an overview of Openet’s services and activities, for the Matera company, which has been operating in South Africa for several years through social development projects, the YEP program represented not only a further opportunity for understanding the South Africa reality, but also a tangible and immediate occasion for reciprocal opportunities of new business.
