The centre will promote the use of satellite data and space technologies for <strong>sustainable development<\/strong>, <strong>technical training<\/strong>, and <strong>economic growth<\/strong> on the African continent.<br>The project is inspired by the SPARKme model, the training and scientific hub created by Openet in 2019 in Basilicata, now home to the ITS Academy and a national point of reference for technological innovation.<br>The SDIC will offer advanced <strong>Earth Observation (EO) data processing and analysis services, technical support to African businesses and institutions, and will develop sustainable business models based on space technologies. It will also be a professional training center, with programs aimed at students and public officials, inspired by the ITS approach, integrating theory, practice and access to latest-generation digital laboratories.<br>In collaboration with organizations such as <strong>Copernicus Academy<\/strong>, <strong>JKUAT<\/strong>, <strong>E4Impact<\/strong> and the <strong>Kenya Innovation Agency<\/strong>, the SDIC aims to become a <strong>model<\/strong> replicable in other African countries, contributing to the construction of an international ecosystem that brings together education, technology and business.<br>With this initiative, Openet strengthens its commitment to making space technologies concrete tools for innovation, inclusion and global development.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Openet Technologies S.p.A., in collaborazione con l\u2019Agenzia Spaziale Europea (ESA) e con il supporto di EAGLEPROJECTS S.p.A., avvia un nuovo progetto internazionale con la nascita del Space Data Information Centre (SDIC) a Nairobi, Kenya.
